Seth Caplan advises on state and local tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions. He helps clients identify potential state and local tax exposure risks for both direct and indirect tax types. Seth has experience with income/franchise tax, unclaimed property, and sales and use tax, especially in the post-deal services, including guiding clients through voluntary disclosure agreements for multiple tax types with state and local taxing authorities. Before Leo Berwick, Seth worked at a middle market accounting firm and a Big 4 accounting firm, both in San Diego.
