Colin leads Leo Berwick’s Infrastructure, Renewables and Energy Transition Financial Advisory practice, which focuses on financial due diligence and financial modelling specifically tailored to infrastructure and energy investors. Colin has more than 18 years of experience advising institutional and corporate clients on investments in infrastructure and energy assets throughout the Americas in a financial due diligence, commercial due diligence, modelling and lead financial advisory role.

Prior to joining Leo Berwick, Colin was a Partner and National Leader for Infrastructure Funds at a Big 4 firm, where he focused on advising investors, pension funds, GPs and insurers on the acquisition, investment and divestiture of greenfield and brownfield infrastructure investments. These assets spanned the power and utilities, transport, digital and social infrastructure asset classes.

Colin routinely serves as a subject matter expert to provincial utility and transport regulators and clients falling under their jurisdiction on topics such as performance-based regulation, revenue requirement, load and supply forecasting, prudence review, capital project approvals and accounting for rate-regulated activities.

Colin has a particular specialty in power generation and rate-regulated entities, having lead or advised on in excess of 50 separate transactions involving single or portfolios of power generation assets, and more than 40 separate transactions involving rate-regulated and contracted gas, water, electric and multi-utilities. Colin had advised on more than 200 transactions.
