Prior to becoming a Partner at Leo Berwick, Greg was the National Leader of M&A Tax at KPMG and BDO.

David served as a partner in KPMG’s tax practice for 15 years, including being the tax managing partner of a major metropolitan region, and has more than 35 years of tax and business experience. He has extensive experience working with global companies on cross-border tax issues as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Monte A. Jackel is nationally known for his expertise in the area of partnership taxation, where he has advised taxpayers ranging from Fortune 500 companies to closely-held businesses and their owners. Monte has practiced federal tax law for over 40 years in both the private sector and the Federal government.
Jason specializes in advising private equity, infrastructure funds, and corporate clients on numerous business, financial, and tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions. His areas of practice include acquisition and disposition planning, cross border investments, repatriation and tax modelling.
Mike recently led the global tax function at Nasdaq, Inc. for 16 years, and has over 35 years of corporate tax experience in public accounting and major US corporations. His areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, strategic tax planning, accounting for income taxes and tax compliance. During his tenure at Nasdaq, Inc., Mike was the tax lead for numerous domestic and cross-border acquisitions and divestitures.

Toni has over 35 years of state and local tax experience, starting her career as a state tax auditor and spending the last 30+ years consulting on state tax issues with two Big 4 professional services firms where she held various leadership roles.
Keegan is a partnership tax expert focused on helping clients understand and navigate the federal income tax consequences of their business dealings. Keegan analyzes proposed transactions for unusual tax risks or undetermined tax benefits, advises clients on tax-efficient operations and restructurings, interprets complex legislative and regulatory actions, and performs financial analysis to assess the tax consequences of specific transactions.
Akash specializes in advising private equity, infrastructure funds, and corporate clients on numerous business, financial, and tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions. His areas of practice include complex tax modeling, acquisition and disposition planning, cross border investments, and repatriation.
Senior Advisor - Canadian Tax Matters
Prior to joining Leo Berwick, David was a partner at KPMG LLP in their financial services group specializing in international corporate tax. His clients included many of Canada’s largest financial institutions.
David has over 30 years of business and tax experience with a focus on the state and local tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions. David provides buy-side and sell side pre-transaction tax due diligence services, acquisition structuring services, tax model review services, and post-transaction integration services for Leo Berwick's clients.
Connie was a US tax partner at a Big Four accounting firm where she specialized in U.S. and cross-border M&A tax structuring as well as tax information reporting such as FATCA and withholding tax compliance. She has significant experience in designing and executing financing structures, providing buyer-side tax due diligence assistance and managing complex tax compliance projects.
Bob is a tax attorney practicing in all areas of state & local tax for over 35 years. He has led due diligence and structuring efforts both for the Big Four and in-house at Fortune 50 companies, spanning manufacturing, finance, telecommunications, transportation, retail and e-commerce.
Scott has 36 years of payroll tax experience, prior to becoming a Senior Advisor at Leo Berwick, he spent the last 25 spent at a Big Four accounting firm with him being the National Partner in Charge of their Employment Tax practice for the last 12 years.
Anthony DaSilva, Jr
Tony has over two decades of experience counseling clients on the tax and regulatory issues impacting compensation and benefits arrangements. For clients involved in complex mergers and acquisitions, corporate joint ventures, private equity transactions and spin-offs, Tony counsels on the compensation, benefit and executive issues that arise pre- and post-transaction.
Serena specializes in investment performance, asset valuations, transaction structuring, data/software applications management, and strategic/operating planning. Before becoming a Senior Advisor to Leo Berwick she held numerous executive level roles in a large pension plan with over $100 Billion in assets under management. Prior to those roles, she was an M&A tax partner with a Big Four accounting firm.

Kara specializes in advising Fortune 500 corporations and government entities in financial and investment-related matters and has over a decade of consulting experience. Kara has been a CFA charterholder since 2012 and received her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2016. As CFO, Kara oversees the firm’s overall financial planning and performance, including evaluating co-investment opportunities and transactions.
