Cody advises on state and local tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions as well as assisting with post-deal integration.
Before joining Leo Berwick, Cody served many of the world’s largest private equity companies at a Big 4 firm. Cody has worked closely with a wide range of clients from private equity firms to large tech companies to small startups. Along with acting as a SALT specialist on M&A transactions, Cody also helped there to manage the gross receipts and local indirect practice in his previous role.
Cody’s experience runs the SALT gambit, as he has experience with refund claims, voluntary disclosure agreements, audit defense, income tax compliance, sales tax consulting and research, sales and income tax provisions, large data wrangling and automation operations, and M&A due diligence.
